A short video following the recent FMT Food Industry Awards ceremony and lunch is now exclusively available online, together with a photo gallery from the day.

The annual industry Awards rewarded 16 categories, including this year’s Food Industry Champion. In addition, both the Food Manufacturer of the Year and Food Retailer of the Year categories were recognised amongst various others, presented at a five star lunch in London.

The 2019 winners reflect a mix of reader voting and product entries that are judged by a full team of home economists and industry experts. Hosted and endorsed by host John Torode, well known as a popular judge on the hugely successful MasterChef TV series, the 2019 event was attended by around 300 guests. Emma Cash the event organiser said she was delighted with the response for an initiative that is “clearly going from strength to strength”.

Host and renown chef and TV personality John Torode added: “The fact is that without marketing the industry would not exist. Unless you are out there telling people about your products you won’t sell them. These Awards are really important because they are part of marketing. I was delighted to be involved once again.”

Managing Editor & Publisher of Food Management Today, Graham Yandell added: “It is brilliant to have such a fantastic endorsement from John. I thought the lunch and ceremony was the best yet and I gather there has been a strong uptake from our partners to confirm their participation again for the next Awards, when the new programme starts in May.

“I think the new film captures the spirit of the day really well. We live in challenging times and taking time out to reflect on what we achieve as an industry is, in my view, very important. I hope everyone enjoys the short video and picture gallery now available.”
