Food manufacturer Newly Weds Foods has acquired JDM Food Group, aiming to strengthen its sauce and liquid capabilities.
Founded more than 20 years ago, JDM sources, develops and manufactures liquid products for foodservice and food processing customers, and operates from a recently expanded manufacturing facility in Bicker, Lincolnshire.
The acquisition will reportedly expand Newly Weds Foods’ liquid and sauce capabilities and offerings in the UK and Europe, while aiming to support continued growth with both existing and new customers.
Brian Johnson, president and CEO of Newly Weds, stated: “We are pleased to announce the acquisition of JDM Food Group, a company known for its strong growth, talented leadership, and commitment to culinary innovation and execution. JDM’s people and well-invested facilities make it a natural complement to Newly Weds Foods, and we are very excited to carry forward the growth and momentum that Aisling and the JDM team have achieved.
“Together, we are strengthening our sauces and coatings capabilities and building greater scale across the UK and mainland Europe to better serve our collective customers across the foodservice, manufacturing, retail, and prepared meal channels.”

Aisling Kemp, CEO of JDM, commented: “Today is an exciting step forward for our business and our people as we begin our new ownership under Newly Weds Foods. Their shared vision for JDM and the growth opportunities that it brings for not only our team, but our customers and suppliers, is incredible.
“We look forward to accelerating the growth of both Newly Weds and JDM across wet and dry flavours, with innovation and culinary excellence continuing to be at the heart of everything we do.”
