Yandell Publishing has appointed Jane Connolly to take over the helm of the company’s meat and food portfolio.
During her 16-year career in journalism, Jane has gained extensive experience as a writer and editor for news, B2B, foodtech, innovation and lifestyle publications.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be appointed as the new editor of Food Management Today and Meat Management,” Jane said. “The challenges and opportunities facing the food industry right now are fascinating, so I feel privileged to be joining the leading trade publications at such an exciting time.
“I look forward to helping to develop the titles even further, while getting to know the passionate, dedicated community that drives this vibrant industry forward.”
Jane takes over the role from Pam Brook, who has been at the helm of Meat Management and Food Management Today for many years.
Graham Yandell, managing director of Yandell Publishing, added: “The editor’s chair at both Meat Management and Food Management today comes with both considerable responsibility and influence.
“Pam’s nearly three decades of steering the ship have been highly successful and she has gained many friends in the market, plus an enviable reputation for independence, knowledge and editorial balance. Pam will be much missed, but she will always remain a valued friend of our business and to me personally.
“I also take this opportunity to welcome Jane Connolly who is already a food enthusiast and has an excellent pedigree in media. I know she will hit the ground running and bring her considerable experience and talent to our market leading titles.”
Reflecting on her long career with Yandell Publishing, Pam Brook said she had thoroughly enjoyed her time working on the meat and food magazines.
“I would like to thank the whole team at Yandell Publishing and our esteemed contributors and columnists for helping make the titles we produce the leaders in their markets,” Pam added.
“In particular, I would like to thank Graham and Rob Yandell for all the support, guidance and confidence they have placed in me over the years and for their continued friendship too.
“However, the only constant is change and so it’s now time for a new and fresh face in the editor’s chair. To that end I’m delighted to welcome Jane into the role and wish her every success. I hope she gets to know the meat and food industry well and also gets to meet many of the fascinating, highly successful and interesting people and businesses it has been my privilege to encounter along the way.”
