The opportunity to put forward nominees for this year’s Women In Meat Industry Awards has now closed with organisers reporting that after another record response information on all candidates is being collated and online voting to decide this year’s finalists will start in August.

Publisher of Meat Management magazine who stage the Awards, Graham Yandell MBE, commented: “It is a huge job and we are hard at work to create the next stage in the process when all the candidates are listed online and that is when the industry have the opportunity to choose winners in 12 categories.

“After the forthcoming voting period, finalists will be pre-publicised online before the 5-star awards ceremony takes place in London on 29th November, when category winners are announced, including the top accolade of Meat Businesswoman of the Year 2024.”

The voting categories for 2024 will be as follows:

  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Foodservice
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Independent Retailing
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Multiple Retailing
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Manufacturing / Processing
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Craft Butchery
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Trade Body
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Livestock Procurement & Sustainability
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Wholesaling
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Poultry
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Training & Education
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Industry Supplier
  • The Rising Star Award

The overall Meat Businesswoman of the Year award will be selected from the various category winners by a panel of industry judges.
