The finalists in this year’s Women In Meat Awards has reached nearly six thousand votes in just three weeks after voting commenced with organisers now targeting a threshold of seven thousand by the 5th August when voting closes.
The eventual winners will be revealed at a five star black tie ceremony and dinner in London on Friday 15th November and organisers advise early booking now for what promises to be a sell-out occasion for a fast growing and major industry networking event. To book tables and tickets click here.
Emma Cash of YPL Exhibitions & Events said it was a phenomenon and commented: “We have never experienced a reaction like it. We expected last years 3,000 figure to be exceeded, but frankly voting has gone crazy!”
Pam Brook, the editor of both Meat Management and Food Management Today magazines added: “The Women In Meat Industry Awards are designed to recognise the vitally important contributions that women make to the meat sector, but voting is not just for women only so please share this opportunity with as many colleagues as possible. There are 36 finalists across nine categories and once voting completes each category winner will be put forward for the Meat Businesswoman of the Year judging, which last year was won by Lisa Hand of Dunbia.
