The ceremony will be co-presented by former UK sprinter and Olympic medallist, Katharine Merry, along with publisher of Meat Management magazine, Graham Yandell, who said: “We are very excited to bring a truly important event to the widest possible audience in a brand-new online format this year.

“Circumstances mean we have adapted the presentations due to the impact of Covid-19, but it will still honour the fantastic talent we have in the meat sector and I am sure it will be very enjoyable too.

“I would also like to pay tribute to our partners who help us to make this event the success  it is. A big thank you goes out to all of them.

“The message now is set your reminders and be sure to tune in live just before 4:30pm on 2nd December via the Women in Meat Industry Awards website.”

Yandell concluded: “Recognising the vital role women play in the meat industry is both important and this year more important than ever. Working with Katharine to make the announcements is a welcome opportunity for me. She is a very inspirational sportswoman in her own right and a highly regarded TV broadcaster, with a down to earth approach to life who we, as a nation, can be very proud of.”
