Dalziel Ingredients is investing £1 million in a factory expansion, creating a new product development (NPD) centre as part of the latest phase of the company’s wider £4 million programme.

The ingredients supplier advises manufacturers across the world on flavour trends, market analysis, factory processes and recipe formulations.

Dalziel Ingredients has completed a £350,000 investment in its factory production capability “to cope with the diverse range of products being developed.” Dalziel said that the investment has allowed the factory to facilitate “enhanced allergen controls.”

Dalziel’s new 7,100 square foot (660sq m) NPD centre will comprise development kitchens, sample preparation areas, sauce making facilities, video conferencing facilities, a meat preparation room and freezer facilities. The NPD centre is expected to be completed in spring 2022.
