At its first Annual Dinner since the pandemic The Scottish Food Trade Association presented an Innovation & Growth Award to Wayne Godfrey, CEO of Brown Brothers Food Group.

Godfrey said: “I was delighted to accept the Innovation and Growth Award from the Scottish Food Trade Association President, Alex McLean, on behalf of our entire team at Brown Brothers Food Group at the SFTA Annual Dinner this year. It was fantastic to have the company’s achievements and hard work recognised. Currently, a huge focus for us is on the sustainable pork industry in Scotland, which we hope will create a special Scottish following.

“We thoroughly enjoyed the evening of amazing food, great entertainment and brilliant company, all of which was topped off by the celebration of our success.”

The dinner was attended by member companies: Barclays, Braehead Foods, Brown Brothers, Company Shop, Cross Rental, Griffin Air Systems, Hayton Coulthard, Innovate Foods, Interfood Technology, Lactalis, Langdons, Levercliff, MRD Recruitment, Müller, Multivac and Optimum PPS.

Guests from a further 40 companies from the food sector were welcomed to the evening. The SFTA’s parent organisation, the Provision Trade Federation, was represented at the top table by Rod Addy, director general of the PTF.
