Key industry movers and shakers will be attending the Women In Meat Industry Awards on Friday 17th November at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, which will be hosted by journalist, broadcaster and royal correspondent Jennie Bond.

This year’s event will be held at one of Europe’s leading event venues, the five-star Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.

Kicking the celebrations off with a drinks reception, guests will have the opportunity to meet with friends and colleagues ahead of the black-tie dinner and awards ceremony.

Attendees will hear from Food Management Today and Meat Management publisher Graham Yandell MBE and journalist Jennie Bond following a meal in the main hall, announcing the recipients of the Meat Businesswoman Awards.

The Awards will be presented to the winners of 12 categories:

  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Foodservice (catering butcher)
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Independent Retailing
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Multiple Retailing
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Manufacturing / Processing
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Craft Butchery
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Trade Body
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Wholesaling
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Poultry
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Training & Education
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Industry Supplier
  • The Rising Star Award
  • Meat Businesswoman of the Year

This year’s host Jennie Bond has appeared on a variety of British TV programmes, from Stars In Their Eyes and Rip Off Britain to Great British Menu and I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here!, where she finished in second place after eating a variety of live insects.

Her time as the BBC’s royal correspondent has left her with countless stories of various royal endeavours, from the fairy-tale marriages to the adultery, the divorces and the deaths.
