Following the recent Government announcement confirming the easing of lockdown arrangements, product judging for the FMT Food Industry Awards, which had previously been postponed, will now take place during the week commencing 19th April 2021.

Delivery of all nominated products will be required at Harper Adams University Regional Food Academy test kitchens in Shropshire on Tuesday 20th April 2021.

The final deadline for nominating additional new products is 29th March and product entries still remain welcome at this time. Go to www.foodmanagement.today/awards to enter free of charge.

“Obviously, we have to bear in mind that the roadmap dates announced by Government are always subject to change, but the signs are positive.”

The deadline for online voting also remains open at the website until 29th March, and readers may cast their votes across the following seven categories: Food Manufacturer of the Year, Best Ingredients Supplier, Best Machinery/Equipment Supplier, Best Trade Organisation, Best Training Initiative, Food Retailer of the Year and Food Industry Champion.

Sharon Yandell, lead organiser for the Food Industry Awards, commented: “The recent Government announcement was a great relief as it paves the way for the judging of products and ultimately gives us the opportunity for a physical ceremony later, which we hope we shortly confirm as either late June or early July. We already have a record entry of products which is very exciting.

“We will be contacting everyone who has already nominated products with an update on arrangements.

“Obviously, we have to bear in mind that the roadmap dates announced by Government are always subject to change, but the signs are positive, so we are looking forward to judging a great array of brilliant products and celebrating and recognising the very best of the food processing industry.”

To nominate products, go to www.foodmanagement.today/awards  or contact Sharon Yandell by email: sharon.y@yandellmedia.com.
