KP Snacks said that its cybersecurity systems had been “compromised by ransomware” and the company could no longer safely process orders or dispatch goods.
The manufacturer of brands such as McCoys, Tyrells and various varieties of nuts apologised for any disruption.
In a letter, published by Better Retailing, the company said it had teams working to fix the issue first reported on Friday 28th January, but it could not be sure when the issue will be resolved.
According to the media outlet, delays and cancellations are expected by KP Snacks and could last for a few months. Nisa, a partner company of KP Snack, said: “Initial discussions have highlighted that no orders will be being placed or delivered for a couple of weeks at least and service could be affected until the end of March at the earliest.”
