Nominations for product entries are in full swing for the 2019 MM Meat Industry Awards, the biggest event of its kind serving the UK meat sector. Organisers YPL Exhibitions & Events are reminding manufacturers’ and retailers’ that the deadline of 6th March for nominating products is fast approaching.

With the deadline for product nominations and voting only a few days away, those wishing to participate should act without delay.

Winners will be recognised at the prestigious Awards ceremony and black tie dinner which is scheduled for Thursday 27th June 2019 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, with over 400 guests expected.

Before then, a week of intense product judging and evaluations will take place at the Regional Food Academy at Harper Adams University in Shropshire, where a team of home economists and judges will get through around 1,000 products across 10 categories.

Headed up by chief judge and CEO of the Institute of Meat, Keith Fisher, winners can expect a massive boost in business, as can the category finalists, once all results are revealed at the prestigious ceremony. Entering products for the Awards is free and multiple entries are available for different products. Full details can be found here.

Managing Editor and Publisher of Meat Management Graham Yandell commented: “We refreshed the dinner and Awards last year and it continues to go from strength to strength as the meat industry’s big night every year.

“However the key message right now is to get those products entered by going online to the website. Entry is free and multiple products can be nominated. This really is the big one and the accolade to win as far as the meat industry is concerned.”

The deadline for nominations is 6th March. It’s quick, easy and free to enter. Categories for voting are also available to view online with easy voting options, and again the deadline is 6th March. When products are nominated the event organiser will send back all support paperwork by email with full details of how and where to send your products.
