This year’s Meat Management Industry Awards dinner takes place on 12th September and product judging has just been completed.
The product evaluations are completed against a strict criteria, and head judge, the CEO of The Institute of Meat, Keith Fisher said: “This year’s entries were, once again, made up of a wonderful variety of quality products.
“The range and innovation shown by the retailers and manufacturers who entered never fails to impress, indicating that despite the current challenging times we are experiencing, the meat industry understands the importance of ongoing development, quality, innovation and want to take advantage of the opportunities presented by entering these prestigious annual awards.”
Held in the test kitchens at Harper Adams University, judging for the Awards took place over the last four days. Judges tasted, considered and marked many hundreds of products entered into 10 categories.
The whole process, including voting and nominations for various other categories, has taken place ahead of the highly anticipated Meat Management Industry Awards ceremony, which will be held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Tuesday evening 12th September. In total the winners of 20 award categories will be exclusively revealed on the night, from a list of finalists that will be pre-publicised.
Commenting about the ceremony this coming September, Graham Yandell MBE, publisher of Meat Management, said: “We are all looking forward to the Meat Management Industry Awards ceremony in September. It remains the biggest event in the trade and the evening was absolutely fantastic last year. As a networking evening it is second to none and, as always, we hope to go above and beyond with this year’s celebrations.”
