National Farmers Union (NFU) has vocalised concern about the isolation exemptions for food manufacturing and supermarket depot workers, claiming that it “doesn’t go far enough to avoid disruption” further down the supply chain.
A new survey, commissioned by the NFU, claims 85% of the British public who responded to their questions said they wanted future trade deals to protect UK farmers from being undercut by cheaper, sub-standard food imports.
The mentorship programme aims to help UK food producers and farmers enter new markets for the first time by matching them with experienced exporters.
