Organisers of the Women In Meat Industry Awards have announced that top impressionist Rory Bremner will host the 2025 ceremony, with support from actor, broadcaster and writer Julie Peasgood.

The unique annual awards initiative celebrates female excellence within the UK meat industry, attracting thousands of voters each year. This year, the ceremony will return to the 5-star Royal Lancaster Hotel on Friday 21st November and is expected to be another sell-out occasion.

Julie Peasgood, who was previously awarded the Royal Television Society’s Television Personality of the Year Award, is an accomplished actress, TV presenter and producer, travel writer, columnist and events host, as well as one of the country’s leading voice-over artists. Her talents have won her regular roles in Brookside, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, and her career spans 50 years of prestigious theatre and television, including five years with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Rory Bremner has appeared on Strictly, while also taking on roles as a presenter, writer, quiz-show host, actor and translator. His brilliant impersonation skills have provided definitive impersonations of prime ministers and presidents, from Major to Mandela, Blair to Brown, Clinton to Cameron and Bush to Trump, plus a myriad of well-known entertainers and personalities.

Graham Yandell MBE, publisher of Meat Management, commented: “It is a pleasure to welcome both Rory Bremner and Julie Peasgood to host this year’s Women In Meat Industry Awards. As a top-class entertainer, Rory is sure to keep guests smiling, and Julie’s history in acting for theatre and the screen will no doubt lend itself to her role as co-host.

“I am sure we are going to have a lot of fun at this prestigious event on 21st November and it is a networking occasion not to be missed when great talent from across the industry is recognised and rewarded.”

Editor of Meat Management magazine, Gwen Mostyn, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have secured both Rory and Julie to co-host this fantastic evening as our VIP guests. This unique annual celebration is always a special highlight in the meat industry calendar and this year will be no exception.”

The opportunity to put forward nominees for this year’s awards will be publicised soon.
