The prestigious FMT Food Industry Awards 2021 programme is now officially open for voting and nomination of product entries. More than ever Food Management Today wants to continue to recognise the hard work and excellence of food processors, manufacturers, retailers, trade organisations, training initiatives, equipment, packaging and services, ingredients innovation and of course people.

Product nominations

You will be able to nominate your products online here in the normal way.

The Awards organisers are of course having to plan for the current restrictions in place and so product judging is scheduled to take place in the autumn, which is when your products will be required for evaluation. The Awards organisers will contact you in good time with all the relevant details and to advise the delivery schedule and the venue where the judging will take place.

Food Management Today editor Pam Brook said: “None of us have a crystal ball of course and the circumstances presented by the coronavirus are changing all the time. I would urge manufacturers and retailers, wholesalers and caterers to nominate their products in the normal way. It’s online of course, entry is free, easy to do and early entries will help our evaluation team plan the product judging ahead.”

The product must be manufactured in the British Isles but can use non-British ingredients as well as British product. Entrants to the categories below will be required to send products for judging at a specific time and location as indicated.

Full details will be supplied to allow this to be done by a product entry deadline. You do of course need to be in it to win it and you can enter as many products as you like and there is no entry fee.

Voting

You can also cast your vote online at the same time in the following categories:

  • Food Manufacturer of the Year
  • Best Ingredients Supplier
  • Best Machinery / Equipment Supplier
  • Best Trade Organisation
  • Best Training Initiative
  • Food Retailer of the Year
  • Food Industry Champion Award
