Bakery ingredients company AB Mauri has announced that it will expand its delivery of technical solutions to food manufacturing sectors outside of bakery, as it introduces four new executive appointments to support the expansion.

AB Mauri UK and Ireland was formed from the merger of Cereform, Mauri Products and Gb Plange UK. The company specialises in a range of technical bakery ingredients and yeast products to bakers across the UK and Irish meat and food industries.

AB Mauri’s managing director, Andy Pollard, said that the new appointments would “significantly enhance” the company’s ability to deliver its food technology, innovation and expertise to new and developing markets.

He added: “Whilst we are dedicated to supporting the bakery market, we strongly believe we can also bring our technical expertise to benefit other food manufacturing sectors.”

New appointments

Dan Parkin joins the Executive board of AB Mauri UK and Ireland as finance and IT director. Working within the Associated British Foods Group, his experience has encompassed British Sugar, AB Agri and the Weston Centre.

Stephen Tutt comes on board as director of supply chain. His responsibilities include procurement, production and demand planning, logistics and customer services. Tutt brings over 30 years of experience in agriculture, food service and food manufacturing. Prior to joining AB Mauri UK in 2011 as a procurement manager, he held previous roles in Dalgety, Kerry, Scottish and Newcastle, Westmill Foods and a number of years as a procurement consultant.

One of  Dinsdale’s primary responsibilities will be giving direction to the PureCraft™ team, overseeing new premium bakery mixes brand. His experience includes spells with education, RHM technology, Rank Hovis, British Bakels and Novozymes. He’s now been with AB Mauri for a combined 16 years, in a variety of technical and commercial roles, on a UK and global basis.

He has specific responsibility for AB Mauri’s Northampton, Corby, Royston and Gainsborough sites.
