Founded by CEO Graham Yandell MBE on 12th August 1986, Yandell Publishing serves the meat, food and group travel sectors with magazines, websites, yearbooks, shows and awards initiatives.
Looking back over four decades running an independent publishing business, Graham spoke to Meat Management about his decision to leave a senior role as at International Thomson Business Publishing to invest in his own company, and reflects on his ambitions for the business.

With connections in the meat industry from his previous work, Graham launched the business with Meat Manufacturing magazine, which, in real terms, is now Meat Management magazine. And after a very successful first year, the business expanded its portfolio to incorporate other food and travel brands over the years, including Food Management Today.

Sharing his insights into the media industry, Graham credited the company’s long-term relationships with readers, colleagues, advertisers and event partners for enabling him to build a resilient business, and added that one of his proudest achievements was steering it through the Covid pandemic, when many in the media were unable to continue publishing.
For Graham, quality is at the heart of what makes the brands successful. He commented: “We create and publish original and mostly unique content supported by an expertise in providing our readers with relevant, well-presented editorial that they can trust.”
