Food manufacturer Bakkavor has announced it will recruit 86 individuals to join its Apprenticeship Programme for 2024.
Bakkavor’s Apprenticeship Programme has run for 11 years, offering two levels of apprenticeship combining employment, on-the-job learning and work-based training. Both the Advanced Apprenticeship and the Higher Apprenticeship run for two years, with the Advanced Engineering Apprenticeships running for four years.
The application process is open from Monday 5th February 2024 nationwide, with candidates starting in September 2024. The 2024 intake is up from the 60 roles in 2022 and the 44 roles in 2021, with Bakkavor calling it a record apprenticeship intake for the manufacturer.
Apprenticeship roles for 2024 will span a range of areas including food technology, health and safety, supply chain management, operations, finance and business administration. Bakkavor also reported that 26 of the roles were related to engineering, which it said was “a sign of the growing importance of technology and science in shaping the future of the food manufacturing sector”.
Bakkavor will bring in apprentices across these locations:
- Lincolnshire
- London
- Scotland
- Northwest
- Kent
- Nottinghamshire
- Somerset
