The nomination deadline for the 2024 UK Sausage Week competition is fast approaching with product entries well underway.

From butchers to supermarkets, including members of the foodservice and manufacturing sectors, entries are coming in from across the UK ahead of UK Sausage Week (UKSW), which returns later in the year on 28th October – 3rd November. All entries are free of charge.

The UK Supreme Sausage Champion will be revealed on 28th October 2024 during a celebration awards lunch at Butchers’ Hall in London, with category winners also being announced on the day.

The final deadline for online nominations is Monday 29th July and Chief Judge Keith Fisher, the CEO of the Institute of Meat (IoM), said: “Entries in previous years have been outstanding and following its suspension during the covid pandemic it is brilliant news that UK Sausage Week will return in 2024 together with its popular competition.”

Those nominating sausages will be sent support paperwork and full details of when and where to send the nominated sausage products.

Previous UKSW winners have reported substantial sales increases following the competition results being announced, with those involved benefitting from increased advertising and promotion during the week.

The 2024 categories:

  • Best Pork Sausage
  • Best Beef Sausage
  • Best Lincolnshire Sausage
  • Best Cumberland Sausage
  • Best Chipolata Sausage
  • Best Gluten Free / Free From Sausage
  • Best Chicken Sausage
  • Best Speciality Sausage
  • UK Sausage Week – Supreme UK Champion

Products can be entered free of charge here.
