The judging process for the 2025 Meat Management Meat Industry Awards has officially begun, as hundreds of meat products undergo evaluation across 11 categories.

The Meat Management Meat Industry Awards is the meat industry’s biggest and most successful initiative of its type, with retailers, manufacturers and foodservice from all across the UK nominating their products for possible awards. To see the categories click here.

This year’s product judging is being held at the Regional Food Academy test kitchens, located at Harper Adams University in Shropshire.

Products will undergo a strict judging process ahead of the awards ceremony on 18th September, where the winners will be announced on stage at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, near to the NEC. Comedian and celebrity magician Pete Firman will help reveal the winners at the ceremony following a sparkling drinks reception and a black-tie dinner.

Head judge of the evaluation team, Keith Fisher of the Institute of Meat commented: “The range and quality of products that are judged always make this a stand-out annual event. The judging panel will have a busy few days in prospect and already I can see we have some great products entered and an interesting range to evaluate.”

Graham Yandell MBE, publisher of Meat Management magazine, added: “We are really looking forward to the next awards ceremony taking place on 18th September. This is always a very special evening with excellent networking.

“With demand for tickets and tables already high this year, I recommend an early visit to the website to reserve places for the September ceremony and to take advantage of an early bird booking discount, which offers a big saving of £140.00 for those reserving tables now.”

Organiser of the 2025 MM Meat Industry Awards, Libby Goodwin, commented: “I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to enter products and also those who have voted in other categories. We have had a very large entry this year, some 20% up on 2024.”
