Middledale Foods to invest £600k in ingredients business expansion

Ingredients supplier Middledale Foods has announced it will invest £600k in expanding its business following the "strongest financial performance" in the company's history.

It said it would invest across its operations, people and infrastructure to expand capacity, strengthen capability and support increasing demand from food manufacturers across the UK.

The announcement comes as Middledale Foods reported a turnover of £31.2 million in FY25, revealing that it had more than doubled its turnover and increased earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation by 133% from FY22-FY25.

Middledale Foods said it would be targeting turnover of £52 million and EBIT of £1.5 million by FY28.

Speaking about Middledale’s plans for the future, managing director Sarah Summers commented: “Reaching our 30th anniversary is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of, but our focus is firmly on what comes next. Every stage of our growth has been guided by a commitment to building a stronger business that continues to deliver for our customers and manufacturing partners.

“Everything we’ve achieved has been made possible by the dedication of our team, the trust our customers place in us and the strength of the manufacturing partnerships we’ve built over the past three decades.

“Through continued investment in people, systems, expertise and innovation, we’re broadening our specialist ingredients offering and strengthening the capabilities that enable us to deliver innovative, partnership-led ingredient solutions and support our customers for many years to come.”
