Biscuit manufacturer, Border Biscuits has secured a deal with Ocado to supply the online retailer with its full retail range for the first time with a further three gift lines to be listed from September this year.

The new partnership will see all 14 retail products available to buy from the ‘world’s largest dedicated online grocery retailer’ as the premium biscuit brand continues to increase its presence across the UK.

The news comes hot on the heels of Border Biscuits’ recent unveiling of its new packaging design which has seen the brand remove 90% of plastic from its core retail range.

The overall weight of the Ginger, Classic and Traditional retail packaging has also been reduced by 50%, helping to reduce the company’s carbon footprint by 537 tonnes of CO2 each year.

Mark Bruce, commercial director at Border Biscuits said: “We’re delighted to have reached this agreement with Ocado to sell our full retail range moving forward.

“Following the launch of our new more environmentally friendly packaging, which has seen 90% of the plastic removed, this is another great step as we continue to grow our business across the UK. Ocado’s focus on stocking and selling premium brands fits perfectly with our beautifully crafted biscuits.”

In addition to the new Ocado listing, the brand is currently available via Waitrose, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons as well as internationally.
