Organisers of the Women In Meat Industry Awards 2021 are making the final preparations ahead of the awards ceremony on Thursday 18th November.

After a very successful online event in 2020, the annual initiative that celebrates the wealth of female talent in the UK meat industry is returning to an in-person event for 2021. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place this Thursday, 18th September, at the Hilton London Metropole.

The eventual winners will be revealed from the 45 finalists covering 10 categories, including the overall Meat Businesswoman of the Year 2021.

This year the presentations will take place as part of a black-tie dinner, hosted by Olympic medallist and TV broadcaster Katharine Merry.

The WIMI Awards team will be live-tweeting the results as and when they’re announced. Follow all the highlights from the night on Twitter (@WIMIAwards).

Publisher of Meat Management magazine Graham Yandell commented: “The Women In Meat Awards is a fantastic initiative and goes from strength to strength. Getting back to an in-person event this year having been online last year is a great boost to everyone involved, and we are set fair for a very special occasion when we celebrate the winners on 18th November in London.”

He added: “I would like to thank all our partners who help make this happen and offer my congratulations to the winners who will be revealed this coming Thursday evening. It is very exciting and I am really looking forward to it.”
