Product judging for the 2024 FMT Food Industry Awards has now concluded, with judges reporting high levels of quality entries.
The FMT Food Industry Awards is an annual awards programme that recognises the best of the food manufacturing and retailing industries. The evaluation process of products entered into the 2024 awards programme took place in Milton Keynes this week (w/c 5th February).
Judges tasted, considered and marked the hundreds of products that were nominated, with head judge and CEO of the Institute of Meat Keith Fisher saying: “The quality of this year’s entries was truly exceptional. The quality of products has once again proved that the food industry understands the importance of ongoing development, quality and innovation, as we continue to be impressed year after year.”
The judging completes ahead of the 2024 business luncheon and awards ceremony, which will be held on Thursday 27th June at the 5-star Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London. Winners will be exclusively revealed at the ceremony, with celebrity host Michel Roux Jr in attendance to present the prizes.
Commenting on the ceremony this June, Graham Yandell MBE, publisher of Food Management Today, said: “It is excellent to see the level of support and enthusiasm that the sector demonstrates throughout the year. Rewarding the best of the best is what we do, and this year is no exception.
“Manufacturers, retailers, suppliers and independents will be welcomed to the stage on 27th June, as awards are distributed by our celebrity host Michel Roux Jr. As a networking event, the FMT Food Industry Awards are the ideal place to catch up with friends and colleagues. It is a special and most enjoyable occasion”
