UK bread producer Hovis has announced that Jon Jenkins will step down from his position as CEO of the company after three years of leadership.

Hovis said that going forward, the executive board will “maintain Hovis’s strategic direction” and continue delivering service and products to retailers and consumers.

Current non-executive director, Di Walker, will assume the position of chair of the Hovis board, and will oversee operations as Jenkins steps down in September 2025.

Endless managing partner, Aidan Robson said: “I would like to thank Jon for his support and leadership over the last three years. Jon has helped navigate Hovis through an unprecedented period of raw material inflation and further developed the much-loved Hovis range of products and brand. Jon leaves with our thanks and best wishes.”

Jenkins previously held the position of CEO of Müller Milk & Ingredients from 2020, before moving to Hovis in 2022.

Outgoing CEO Jon Jenkins commented: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hovis and would like to thank all our incredible colleagues across our bakeries, milling operation and distribution centres for their commitment and support over the last three years.

“I am really proud of what we have achieved and I look forward to seeing the business continue to prosper in the future.”
