The judging process for the 2025 Women In Meat Industry Awards took place at Butchers' Hall in London, with this year's Meat Businesswoman of the Year now selected.

The judging process for the 2025 Women In Meat Industry Awards took place at Butchers’ Hall in London, with this year’s Meat Businesswoman of the Year now selected ahead of the awards presentations on Friday 21st November.

The annual Women In Meat Industry Awards celebrate the valuable contributions made by women across all sectors of the meat industry. The winners of each category will be unveiled at the upcoming awards ceremony and dinner at the 5-star Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on the evening of Friday 21st November.

The categories for 2025 are:

  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Independent Retailing
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Multiple Retailing
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Poultry
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Foodservice (Catering Butcher)
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Manufacturing/Processing
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Craft Butchery
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Trade Body
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Livestock Procurement & Sustainability
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Wholesaling
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Industry Supplier
  • Meat Businesswoman Award – Training & Education
  • Rising Star Award

The overall Meat Businesswomen of the Year was selected from the winners of each category, and will be revealed at the awards ceremony.

Judges praised the outstanding quality of this year’s category winners, who are each making an impact in their chosen field and are role models for women working across the industry.

Meat Management editor Gwen Mostyn commented: “What an inspiration these candidates are, their hard work and dedication to the industry is plain to see. It is a pleasure to be able to highlight the incredible work being done by women in the meat sector, and choosing just one person to become Meat Businesswoman of the Year was no easy task. I have nothing but praise for each of our category winners.”

This year, leading impressionist Rory Bremner will present the awards alongside actor, presenter and writer Julie Peasgood at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
