Food ingredients manufacturer, The Flava People, has expanded its team by announcing a new commercial director and a new head of retail, as well as three other senior members of staff.

Alison O’Brien has joined The Flava People from Warburtons as commercial director, having previously held positions at Kellogg’s and McCain’s.

Matthew Davison has also come on board as the new head of retail. Davison has come from All About Food, where he worked on brands such as Costa, Nando’s, Pizza Express, Wahaca and Red’s True BBQ.

Alongside the growth of the senior members of the team, three new recruits have joined The Flava People’s bespoke division, with Andy Robinson as head of bespoke sales, Samantha Buckley as senior national account manager and Andy Birchall as national account manager.

Scott Dixon, managing director at The Flava People, said: “2020 is going to be a really exciting year for us as a business; we’ve got a lot of plans for development and growth which I think is clear from the flurry of activity that has that has taken place over the last few months.
