Nomination deadline for UK Sausage Week competition approaches

The deadline for product nominations for this year's UK Sausage Week is fast approaching, with all entries to be nominated by Friday 7th August.

UK Sausage Week is the national initiative celebrating one of the public’s favourite mealtime and BBQ staples and will run from Monday 26th October to Sunday 1st November. The week-long programme will see Britain’s butcher shops, supermarkets, caterers and manufacturers highlight the fantastic range of sausages available to consumers across the nation.

Product nominations are free of charge across a variety of categories, with the deadline for nominations fast approaching. All sausage products must be nominated online by Friday 7th August, with delivery to be made to The Regional Food Academy at Harper Adams University on Tuesday 18th August.

Businesses nominating products will receive full details of how and where to send their entries ahead of the judging period. To put forward your products, click here.

  • UK Sausage Week – UK Supreme Sausage Champion

This year’s UK Sausage Week celebrations will once again kick off at a lunch event on Monday 26th October at Butchers’ Hall in London, where winners of the national competition will be announced and presentations made.

The awards ceremony will culminate in the crowning of a new UK Supreme Sausage Champion, chosen by the judging panel from the winning products in each category.
