Food manufacturer, Oscar Mayer plans to move the manufacturing of some products from its Flint factory to its Wrexham plant.
Its 330-strong Flint workforce may be at risk if they are unable to move to the new site.
Chairman Peter Thornton told the press: “Consulting our colleagues on a potential transfer of production and jobs has been a desparately difficult decision to reach.”
The Wrexham site is some 30 minutes from the Flint factory. The consultation will take place during April over a 45-day period.
The company has said the reasons behind the plan involve rising production costs and with the ongoing rising cost of living it has not seen sales return to pre-pandemic levels and in the last few months sales had fallen short of expectations by more than 10%.
The business supplies chilled premium ready meals to leading supermarket, chains and foodservice across the UK.
