Moma Foods has recalled its porridge pots and sachet products following a mouse contamination at a manufacturing site.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) published a product recall notice on its website, which said that the products may contain mouse contamination “making them unsafe to eat”.

FSA went on to say that notices would be displayed in all retail stores that are selling the Moma products, including on their websites. The notices will explain why the products are being recalled, asking consumers not to consume the products and instead return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.

A Moma spokesperson said: “Ensuring the safety and quality of our products is our top priority. Following one consumer report of a potential contamination issue with a Moma porridge product, we immediately launched an investigation with the third-party facility where the product is manufactured. The third-party manufacturer notified us on 20th March that a mouse contamination event did occur in autumn 2025.

“We are working with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to ensure the affected batches are removed from sale and that all required health protocols are followed. While we have received only one consumer report to date, as a precautionary measure we are recalling all batches produced during the relevant timeframe.

“This recall only affects a limited number of products; all of our other ranges, including Moma Oat Drinks, are not impacted by this issue and are safe to consume.

“We advise consumers who have purchased the specific affected products not to consume them and to follow the recall instructions to receive a full refund.”

The recalled products are:

  • Moma Almond Butter & Salted Caramel Porridge Pot 55g
  • Moma Apple, Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Porridge Pot 65g
  • Moma Banana & Peanut Butter Protein Porridge Pot 65g
  • Moma Blueberry & Vanilla Porridge Pot 65g
  • Moma Cranberry & Raisin Porridge Pot 70g
  • Moma Golden Syrup Porridge Pot 70g
  • Moma Plain No-Added Sugar Porridge Pot 65g
  • Moma Almond Butter & Salted Caramel Porridge Sachets 7x40g
  • Moma Apple, Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Porridge Sachets 6x40g
