PTF recruits new director general

The Provision Trade Federation (PTF) has announced the appointment of Rod Addy as its new Director General. Replacing Andrew Kuyk. Addy will commence his role from 22nd August.

The Provision Trade Federation (PTF) has announced the appointment of Rod Addy as its new director general. Replacing Andrew Kuyk, Addy will commence his role from 22nd August.

Rod was previously editor of Meat Trades Journal and latterly Food Manufacture magazine. He worked for William Reed for more than 20 years on various publications such as The Grocer and Food Navigator.

Rob Smith, Chairman of the PTF said: “We are delighted to welcome Rod to PTF. He has been a distinguished reporter and commentator on the food industry for many years and will now have the opportunity to make the news as well. His insights and experience will bring a fresh perspective to PTF’s work in what remain hugely challenging times”

Rod Addy added: “Soaring inflation, the tight labour market and the effects of climate change, the Ukraine war, the pandemic and Brexit mean PTF members need timely information and a high profile as much as ever. I look forward to dedicating my time to serving them and working with industry, Government and other stakeholders to address these issues and meet those needs.”
