Potter was previously operations director at Turner Price following 12 years of service within the company, and Turner Price said that he would bring a “wealth of experience, knowledge and passion” for the business.

According to the company, Potter has played a pivotal role in strengthening its operational performance and service-level standards.

Commenting on his appointment, Potter said: “It is an honour to take on the role of managing director and to follow such a respected and successful leader as Paul. My focus will be on ensuring Turner Price remains a trusted food partner for our customers across the UK and around the world, while continuing to invest in our people, infrastructure and capabilities to support our ambitious growth plans.

“We have an incredibly talented and committed team, and I look forward to working alongside our board of directors, senior management team and the Caterfood Buying Group as we continue to build on the company’s success.”

Paul Brittain steps down and enters retirement

Paul Brittain, who has now retired, was a member of the Turner Price leadership team for 24 years. Having served as finance director for more than two decades, he was appointed managing director in 2024 following the company’s move into the Caterfood Buying Group. Following his retirement, Brittain will continue to support the business in an advisory capacity, aiming to achieve a smooth leadership transition.

Reflecting on his retirement, Brittain stated: “Although it was a difficult decision, retirement will give me more time to spend with my family and enjoy some well-earned free time. Turner Price has been a huge part of my life for almost 24 years, and I will greatly miss our fantastic people and loyal customers.

“I have every confidence that Steve, together with the board and wider leadership team, will continue to drive Turner Price forward. The business has exciting plans for future investment, expansion and growth, and I look forward to watching and supporting its continued success.”
