Judging for the 2025 UK Sausage Week (UKSW) competition is drawing ever closer, with a high volume of products being nominated every day ahead of the deadline set for Friday 1st August.

Entering sausage products is free of charge and supermarkets, butchers, manufacturers and foodservice across the UK are gearing up to get involved with the initiative.

There is no limit to the number of different products that can be entered and the categories are as follows:

  • Best Traditional Pork Sausage
  • Best Beef Sausage
  • Best Lincolnshire Sausage
  • Best Cumberland Sausage
  • Best Chipolata Sausage
  • Best Gluten Free / Free From Sausage
  • Best Chicken Sausage
  • Best Speciality Sausage
  • Best Cocktail Sausage
  • Best Frozen Sausage
  • UK Sausage Week – Supreme UK Champion

This year’s UK Sausage Week will run from 27th October to 3rd November 2025, with a special awards lunch kicking off the week on Monday 27th October at Butchers’ Hall in London.

Winners of the UKSW competition will be announced at the lunch, and the UK Supreme Sausage Champion will be selected from the winners of each category.

Entrants will receive full details of how and where to send their sausage products once their online nominations have been submitted.

Actual product delivery will be required on Tuesday 19th August, following the product nomination deadline of Friday 1st August, and should be delivered to the UKSW test kitchens at Milton Keynes College. Click here to nominate products.

Graham Yandell MBE, publisher of Meat Management magazine, who organise UKSW commented: “Nominating sausage products now will allow good time for us to respond and for entrants to plan product delivery. Winning sausages and shortlisted finalists normally see a very substantial boost to sales and can generate wide publicity, so I do hope as many businesses as possible will participate.”
