Turnover at the nutrition business grew to £173 million, continuing a run of several successive years of growth.

Operating profit before fair value adjustments reached £7.4 million (52 w/e 28th December 2024: £5.9 million), with Whitworths stating that the profit has increased as a result of topline growth across all strategic customer partners, driven by “strong market performance and specific growth initiatives”.

Profit before tax was reported to be £4.7 million for 2025, down from 2024’s £6.1 million. This was driven by an adverse £3 million movement of the fair value adjustments on derivates, which Whitworths said was offset by top line growth.

The brand produces a number of nuts, seeds, dried fruit and snacking lines, claiming to focus on “changing the nutrient intake of the nation”.

Whitworths said it had continued to strengthen its relationship with the British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) and the British Dietetic Association (BDA) as part of the company’s broader mission to “reshape the national nutrition conversation” to focus not only on reducing excess salt, sugar, and fat but on addressing nutrient gaps in fibre, unsaturated fats and micronutrients.

Whitworths CEO, Mark Fairweather, commented: “2025 was another strong year for Whitworths, with turnover rising to £173 million. Our partnerships with leading retailers remain our bedrock, while our brand is proving it can stretch into new occasions and connect with a younger, health-conscious audience.

“2026 will be about building on this momentum – strengthening our partnerships, accelerating innovation, and continuing to lead the national conversation about the role of nutrition in preventing disease.”
