The opportunity to nominate candidates for this year’s Women In Meat Industry Awards campaign has been extended from 27th June to a slightly later deadline of Tuesday 1st July.

Organiser of the awards, Libby Goodwin from YPL Exhibitions & Events, explained: “We have had another big response so far this year, but we have also had a number of requests to allow a bit more time for nominations.

“Naturally we want as many people as possible to be involved so we are extending the nominations deadline to 1st July to offer  the opportunity for companies and individuals across the industry to nominate candidates who they would like to see recognised.”

The annual Women In Meat Industry Awards is the biggest and most important initiative which highlights the continually growing and  significant contribution that women make across the UK and Irish meat sector.

Winners will be revealed at a prestigious ceremony and dinner later this year, taking place at the 5-star Royal Lancaster Hotel, London on Friday 21st November.

Once the nomination process completes by the new 1st July deadline, the selected finalists will go through to the voting stage of the awards.

If you’d like to see a colleague or someone working in the industry acknowledged for their contribution and high standards, then nominate them online here.
