Dr Ruth Hussey appointed as FSA interim chair for further two months

Following her appointment as the interim chair of the Food Standards Agency (FSA) earlier this year, Dr Ruth Hussey CB OBE DL will continue in the post until 30th June 2021

Following her appointment as the interim chair of the Food Standards Agency (FSA) earlier this year, Dr Ruth Hussey CB OBE DL will continue in the post until 30th June 2021.

Dr Hussey was originally appointed on 1st February with a view to serving for up to three months. She has now been appointed for a further two months from 1st May to allow time for chair recruitment to conclude.

She was an FSA Board Member for Wales and chair of the Welsh Food Advisory Committee from 2016 until she was appointed as deputy chair of the Food Standards Agency in July last year.

Dr Hussey took over from Heather Hancock, who stood down as chair at the end of January.
