Manufacturer and bakery store operator Wrights Food Group has been acquired by Compleat Food Group.
Founded in 1926 as a family-owned pie business, Wrights Food Group now manufactures and distributes savoury products, confectionery and ready meals into the foodservice and retail channels. With a workforce of 600, the company also operates a chain of15 branded bakery stores in the Northwest.
The Compleat Food Group was formed through the merger of Addo Food Group and Winterbotham Darby in January 2021.
Paul Monk, executive chairman of The Compleat Food Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Wrights Food Group into our pastry division.
“This move enables us to better serve our customers and offer a greater range of products, helping the group to further strengthen its position in UK retail and foodservice.”
