In a joint statement released by retailer Tesco and manufacturer Heinz, the companies have confirmed that they have reached an agreement that will see the full range of Heinz products return to Tesco shelves and online.

The news is the latest development in a dispute over pricing that saw an announcement by Kraft Heinz that it had temporarily stopped supplying Tesco with some of its products.

Ketchup, baked beans and tomato soup were among the various products reported to be missing from shelves in certain Tesco stores.

In response, Tesco confirmed that it would not pass on “unjustifiable price increases to our customers.”

It said at the time: “With household budgets under increasing pressure, now more than ever we have a responsibility to ensure customers get the best possible value.”
