Sainsbury’s adds new products to Aldi Price Match campaign

Sainsbury's has added over 40 products to its Aldi Price Match campaign, bringing the total number of discounted Aldi Price Match products to over 400.

UK retailer Sainsbury’s has added over 40 products to its Aldi Price Match campaign, bringing the total number of discounted Aldi Price Match products to over 400.

Products such as Sainsbury’s soups, burger buns, bread and apple pies are all included in the campaign, and price cuts to butter, cheese and fish fingers are being put in place.

Some of the products include:

  • by Sainsbury’s White Muffins x6 (£1.50 before Price Match, £1.12 after)
  • by Sainsbury’s Bramley Apple Pies x6 (£1.50 before Price Match, £1.29 after)
  • by Sainsbury’s Minestrone Soup 400g (£0.75 before Price Match, £0.67 after)
  • by Sainsbury’s Tikka Masala Curry Cooking Sauce 500g (£1.20 before Price Match, £0.99 after)
  • by Sainsbury’s Naturally Sweet Sweetcorn in Water 325g (£0.95 before Price Match, £0.65 after)

Simon Roberts, chief executive of Sainsbury’s, said: “We’re continuing to do all we can to battle inflation and as costs fall, so do our prices. We’re passing savings on as fast as we can, wherever we can, so that customers get the very best prices when they shop with us. With our biggest ever Aldi Price Match and Nectar Prices campaigns, whatever you’re shopping for you will always be getting great value at Sainsbury’s.”

Nectar Prices, the retailer’s loyalty scheme, are now being rolled out to frozen foods, totalling over 5000 Nectar Price products both in-store and online. Products like Linda McCartney Vegetarian Sausages, Goodfella’s Pepperoni Pizza, Quorn Vegetarian Nuggets and Birds Eye Fish Fingers are all discounted by the scheme.
