Organisers of the UK meat industry’s biggest awards programme, the Meat Management Industry Awards, have reported that this year, product entry levels are expected to break records.

The prestigious annual initiative recognises the best manufacturers and producers, products, suppliers, retailers, individuals and organisations across the UK meat industry.

Organisers say that the Meat Management Industry Awards is once again set to be the event of the year. Product nominations for 2024 have exceeded all expectations so far, with this year’s promotion welcoming entries and voting across 21 categories.

Members of the UK food industry are invited to go online to nominate products across a range of categories and to vote for their industry choices. Categories accepting nominations and votes include Best Free From Product, Supermarket / Multiple Meat Retailer of the Year and Best Online Business.

Two of the most popular awards presented at the annual ceremony are the Young Manager of the Year Award and the Meat Management Excellence Award. Both are given to individuals, usually at pivotal times in their careers, who have excelled within their chosen fields or made an outstanding contribution to the industry.

  • Products can be entered for free here.

  • Voting forms for industry colleagues and businesses can be found here.
