Running from Monday 26th October until Sunday 1st November, UK Sausage Week will return to celebrate the UK public’s favourite meal-time staple.

The week will kick off with an exclusive awards ceremony at Butchers’ Hall in London on Monday 26th October, where the winners of the annual UK Sausage Week competition will be revealed for 2026. The ceremony follows a detailed judging process, during which hundreds of sausages were tasted and judged to determine which were deserving of awards.

The awards ceremony will culminate in the crowning of the UK Supreme Sausage Champion from the previous category winners, which is awarded to a winning sausage deemed by the UK Sausage Week judging panel to be of exceptional quality, taste and succulence. A full list of the 2026 finalists can be found here.

Retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and foodservice will all be getting involved in the week’s celebrations, with businesses already teasing sausage competitions ahead of the week.

Graham Yandell MBE, publisher of Meat Management magazine, which organises UK Sausage Week, commented: “We are really looking forward to welcoming colleagues and associates to Butchers’ Hall to celebrate the fantastic products that have been entered into this year’s competition. As always the judges had a challenging job evaluating the many hundreds of products sent in, all of which were cooked fresh and judged using a strict criteria.

“We will certainly kick off UK Sausage Week celebrations in style, and I’m also eager to see what sausage-themed activities retailers and manufacturers get up to during the week.

“With more and more consumers wanting new ideas, convenience and variety, it’s fantastic to see so many different versions of the British banger available – I’m sure we will enjoy an excellent occasion at the sell-out lunch event on Monday.”
