In an unusual move, major poultry processor, Avara Foods, is opening its Telford site to the public.
The company’s site at Hortonwood Industrial Estate will open its doors on Saturday January 25th, giving people in the area the chance to learn about the different roles available at the site and how they can progress their career with Avara.
Visitors will be given a tour of the factory with its manufacturing technology, a chance to taste some of the products produced on-site, as well as the opportunity to meet with members of staff.
Graham Clempner, site manager, said: “We’re excited to welcome people to our site and showcase the opportunities we offer as a local employer. Whether you’re looking for a new position with a thriving national company or just want to find out more about Avara Foods and what we do here, everyone is welcome.”
Avara Foods is a UK manufacturer producing chicken, turkey and duck products for a range of customers, including national supermarkets and restaurant chains. The Telford site is one of the company’s main processing facilities, employing over 1,200 people.
