Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Scotland is set to host a live webinar on 15th September taking a look at the key internal market issues for the UK food and drink sector.

The fragmented regulation within the UK nations will be one of the key topics discussed as part of the webinar. Other topics of a similar nature include ‘the legal ground rules’ and ‘the deposit return schemes and health promotion regulations [as] illustrative case studies’.

David Thomson, CEO of FDF Scotland, will host the webinar on 15th September at 10am.

Thomson will be joined by Kevin Clancy and Natasha Durkin of UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn. Clancy is a litigator with experience advising hospitality, food and drink clients in relation to investigations conducted by regulators (health and safety, food safety, environmental issues). Durkin is a regulatory investigations and enforcement lawyer, advising on public law and judicial review; environmental social and governance risk, sanctions and anti-corruption and money laundering compliance.

In November last year, Thomson spoke to Food Management Today about some of the key issues affecting the Scottish food manufacturing industry, including “once in a generation” cost pressures.
