The new editor of Food Management Today magazine will be Joanna Thomson, currently deputy editor of the title as well as Meat Management magazine.

The new editor of Food Management Today magazine will be Joanna Thomson, currently deputy editor of the title as well as Meat Management magazine.

Publisher of Food Management Today, Graham Yandell said: “It really is a pleasure to announce this appointment. Joanna has immersed herself in the industry and has gained the respect of all who work with her. I am sure both magazines will continue to flourish under her editorial direction.”

Commenting on her appointment, Joanna Thomson added: “It really is an honour to take the role as editor for both Food Management Today and Meat Management. I am very excited about engaging with readers to bring them the very best in news, features and comment.

“Over the last 19-months I have met some remarkable people and been involved with our spectacular award events. I am looking forward to bringing the very best content to our audience via the magazines, as well as our popular daily online news service.”

Joanna joined Yandell Media Group in July 2021 and is a first class honours graduate of the University of Glasgow, where she studied English Literature. She initially joined the editorial team on Meat Management and Food Management Today magazines as editorial assistant, quickly moving up to senior editorial assistant and was promoted to deputy editor in July this year.
