Former Muller chief executive officer Jon Jenkins has been appointed by Hovis as its new CEO. Jenkins will formally take the role on 31st October, replacing Robert Higginson.

Once the CEO transition period is completed, Higginson will return to his non-executive director role at Hovis, after being assigned the role of CEO for the company in July this year.

Jenkins has over 30 years of experience in the FMCG sector and was most recently the CEO for the dairy business Muller. Prior to this, he has spent 15 years at Associated British Foods (ABF), seven years as managing director of Twining’s and four years as CEO of Allied Milling and Baking.

In November 2020, Hovis was acquired by the equity firm Endless LLP. Partner at Endless LLP Aidan Robson said the company believes Jenkins’ experience in the FMCG industry will be invaluable. He added that Hovis is “well placed to ensure continued sustainable growth.”

Jenkins said he is proud and excited to lead the brand and to work with the team on delivering the brand’s next stage of growth.
