Manufacturer of foodservice and bakery pre-mixes, Middleton Foods, has reported that its main site and bespoke gluten free production facility have both achieved the highest possible AA+ certification, following a recent unannounced BRC Global Standards (BRCGS) and Gluten Free Certification Program (GFCP) Audits for Food Safety.

Paul Stanley, foodservice manager, Middleton Foods commented: “I’m extremely proud of the AA+ certifications achieved following the first unannounced audits of both our main site and also of our gluten free site. There’s no higher recognition than this, and I’m absolutely delighted for the entire Middleton Foods team – the status are testament to their commitment and dedication to maintaining such excellent standards of food safety. Everyone within the business should take enormous pride in these fantastic achievements.

“As the demand for gluten free foods continues to grow, our extensive portfolio of products enables our customers to cater for an increasing number of consumers who have specific dietary requirements.  Food safety is critical, and expectations placed on food industry manufacturers and suppliers are high – rightly so. The BRCGS grading system reflects food hygiene practices, and standards are extremely thorough. Receiving such a high-grade status for food safety, from a globally renowned certification, gives us an internationally recognised mark of food quality, safety and responsibility. It assures our customers of our approach to the quality of our processes and food safety management.”
