Jacob Rees-Mogg has been appointed Minister for Brexit Opportunities and Government Efficiency.
As part of a mini-reshuffle of his cabinet, Boris Johnson has appointed Jacob Rees-Mogg to the newly-created role. He will stay in Cabinet as a minister of state.
According to Politico, Rees-Mogg will take on some of the responsibilities of the role vacated by David Frost, who resigned as Brexit minister in December 2021. Foreign Secretary Liz Truss took over part of Lord Frost’s brief in December, which includes handling Britain’s relationship with the EU.
