Members of the Usdaw union at the Weetabix AP4 plant in Kettering started a 24-hour stoppage after rejecting an offer from the company to resolve a pay dispute.
A 24-hour stoppage will be called within a week from 28th July after Weetabix workers in the Usdaw union unanimously voted to take industrial action over a shift payments dispute.
Workers at the Weetabix Kettering site will vote on whether to strike over a pay dispute, just days after planned industrial action was averted.
Around 80 engineers at Weetabix’s Kettering and Corby factories will take part in strikes this summer, in protest at the company’s ‘fire and rehire’ plans.
