NFU Scotland said that it is looking to UK and Scottish Governments for food labelling changes to underpin the nation’s food security.
The food industry has responded to the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s 2023 Autumn Statement, which announced policies including a new six-year Climate Change Agreement scheme.
The NFU has urged Government to deliver on its promises to back British farming by “ensuring fairness in food supply chains”.
The focus of the NFU Scotland Autumn Conference will be the need to secure a profitable and sustainable future, hosted on Thursday 26th October.
